The Arc of Story County operates on a lean and efficient budget. This allows your contribution to go a long way to help our clients and their families.

The Arc of Story County is a 501 (c) (3)  non-profit organization. The Arc of Story County Tax ID is 42-6099400. We will provide documentation for tax purposes.

Your gift will help...

  • ...a LOCAL Special Olympic athlete practice and compete in local and statewide competitions
  • ...a mother receive a well deserved respite to become a better care provider for her son or daughter ensuring the parent remains the primary care provider.
  • ...teach people with disabilities how to cook and eat healthy well balanced meals.
  • ...ensure people with disabilities are safe and supported in our community!

Principles and Practices LogoAs a non-profit organization The Arc of Story County holds itself accountable to its donors, the public, and all who have a stake in helping. Each year, audited financial statements have been examined and reported, without qualification, by independent auditors. These statements are available upon request from our office.

The Arc of Story County is listed on the Iowa Register of Accountability, which appears on the website of the Lerned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center. This listing is of nonprofit organizations that have committed themselves to sound management, ethical conduct, public accountability, and continuous improvement by using the Iowa Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence.
